Club Event at Currie Park Golf Course - Results

Hello Currie boys,

It was a beautiful day at Currie Park and the course was in great shape considering parts of it were under 6 ft of water a couple months ago!! The greens were great with some tough pin placements and the rough was thick and long, which I think contributed to some slow play. I know it slowed our group up at times and the format can make it slow down too, especially for those who have not played it before!!

We, and I mean the officers, forgot to make it a shotgun start also, which might have contributed to the slow play!! And we are working on booking the meeting room too!! But all in all a great day!!

One Man Scramble Winners for the day.....

In A flight Chuck Silkey shot a fabulous round of 63!! Beating Corey Mader and Kurt Beronja by 6 shots!!

In B flight we had a 3-way tie. Tom Condella, Pete Tarantino and Rufus Evans all shot 74. Congrats boys!!

In C flight Gary Zwirlein shot 76, Jackie Wu shot 77 and Bill Zolandz shot 78. Great job fellas!!

A little side note, Mike Zande, a future CPMC member, I hope!! Shot a fine 66 in the one-man scramble format yesterday. Hopefully his 2 rounds with us have him convinced to join our club next year!!

A thank you goes to Brian Pederson for helping me with scoring and to all of you who have helped me with that throughout the year!!! It is a big help!!

A big THANK YOU to Corey Mader for his dedication for 9 years to running the TOC events!!! Thanks from all of us!!!

And welcome in Jim Sauceda, who has volunteered to take over TOC events!! Thanks Sauce!!!

And one more thank you goes out to our 3 other officers who without them all these events never happen!! We collaborate more than you boys know!!!

Another great year for CPMC!!!

Last thing, I have money for Camosy and Corion Jones. I have a plaque for Ben Sevener and a county gift card for Dominic Carini. Just so you boys know!!

Good day gents,

Steve Wolter
