Gentlemen –
The Currie Team took a big victory today at the Team Matches at Oakwood. We scored 153 points, 35 more than second place Brown Deer, which puts us back in our rightful position in first place for the season, 7 points up on Brown Deer.
Seven of our players scored 14 or more points, Dave Ullenberg, Doug Bowring, and your humble captain leading with 17 each. Jim Sauceda and Bill Zolandz picked up 15 apiece, and John Hirsch and Jeff Kapp nabbed 14 each.
The golf course played tough with wind direction hard to figure, and low scores were scarce. Our medalist was Ullenberg with 81, and our next lowest scores were 87 by Kapp and Mark Cuthbert.
Doug B. took a skin with a birdie on 18, and that was our only individual award.
