Hello fellas,
Well, it was a gorgeous day out in Kewaskum on Saturday!! We hung in there for the first 2 events, 2 Man Best Bell and 2 Man Scramble. We tied the best ball event 4 to 4 and we lost the scramble event 4 ½ to 3 1/2. So, we were not in bad shape going into the singles event. But then the bottom fell out!!! Final score was 20 ½ to 11 ½. A great event and lots of fun and banter going on amongst the players!!
There were not many highlights but Steve Wolter won 2 1/2 of his possible 3 points to get and Johnny Torch and Jake Boulware both got 2 out of their possible 3 points!!
After 12 years (events), Hon-E-Kor now leads Currie in this Challenge 9 - 3.
Thats it for now,

MCPLA / NIMAGA Challenge - Results
MCPLA Wins 50th Anniversary Challenge Match vs. NIMAGA (Northern Illinois Municipal Area Golf Assn.) --- In his first year at the helm, on Sept. 20, Captain Doug Wruck led our MCPLA squad to a solid 52-44 victory over the challengers from Illinois at the Fox Lake Country Club in Fox Lake Illinois. MCPLA now leads this venerable challenge match series 27-20-2. Thanks to Doug for his leadership and time in putting together a successful, well-organized, and enjoyable event.

Currie / Hon-E-Kor Challenge - Results
We had beautiful weather for golf this weekend!!
The greens were in great shape and rolled beautifully!!
No good news from Hon-E-Kor except that is was a lot of fun playing Ryder cup format. We got spanked pretty bad, 29.5 to 10.5, but I am thinking those who played had a good time!! We will get them next year!!
After 11 years (events), Hon-E-Kor now leads Currie in this Challenge 8 - 3.

Currie/Hon-E-Kor Challenge - Results
Good time was had by all but the Hon-E-Kor boys were not hospitable enough to let us win. But it was closer than it has been in many years!!!
We beat them in the first event (team best ball) 5.5 to 4.5, they killed us in the scramble event 7-3 and that usually is one of our strong events!! Then in the singles it was the closest it has ever been 10.5 to 9.5. With the final score being 22- 18.
Scott Brandt was the only Currie member to win all 3 of his points!!!
Good time, good golfing and an overall great day!!!
Hon-E-Kor was once more a great host. Cant beat the price, the lunch was wonderful, course was in great shape but play was a bit slower that normal for this event!!!
After 9 years (events), Hon-E-Kor now leads Currie in this Challenge 7 - 2.
Thanks to all who played!!!!

Currie/Hon-E-Kor Challenge - Results
Once again it was a beautiful day for golf. And I am sure all those who played had a great time!! Even though we got smoked again 24-16.
Nobody won all their points but 2 guys won 2 1/2 points out of a possible 3. Bryan Olen and Pete (I think I hurt myself) Lapp. Nice job fellas!! And Pete, thanks for grinding it out for the team despite claiming an injury!!
We lost the 2-man best ball, which we usually do well in, 7-3. We tied the scramble portion 5-5 and proceeded to lose our singles matches 12-8.
We will be planning a rematch again next year and maybe tee times a little earlier in the day!!!
Thanks to all that played!!! Hope you had fun!! I did, despite getting my butt kicked!!!
After 8 years (events), Hon-E-Kor now leads Currie in this Challenge 6 - 2.

Currie/Hon-E-Kor Challenge - Results
Well it was a beautiful day to say the least!!! And a good time was had by all!! So good we might do it again in October!!! Please let me know how many of you are interested in doing this again in October!! The boys at Hon E Kor seemed receptive to the idea!! And I am pretty sure we will be not be starting at 12:30 PM again!!!
Anyway the day started with a tie in the first event, the 2 man best ball. So it was 6 to 6 after one event!!
Event 2, the team scramble we managed a win, 6 1/2 to 5 1/2!!! So once again we were ahead in the match going in to the singles matches!!
But once again they took us to the cleaners in the singles matches 17 to 7. So . . . we broke even in money matches but lost the cup!!!!
We will get them next time!!!
After 7 years (events), Hon-E-Kor now leads Currie in this Challenge 5 - 2.
We do have a couple of highlights from the day Jeff Camosy and Austin Mader (his first Hon E Kor visit) both won all 3 of their matches!!
Thanks to all that enjoyed the day and represented Currie Park Men's Club!!

Currie/Hon-E-Kor Challenge - Results
We had a an absolutely gorgeous day for golf!! To bad it finished on losing note.
Final score: Hon-E-Kor 28, Currie 20
We started the day with 2-man Best Ball and just like last year we beat them pretty good: Currie 8, Hon-E-Kor 4.
The second matches were 2 man scramble and we did not fair well: Hon-E-Kor 8.5, Currie 3.5
So only one down going in to the singles matches and we just could not compete on the Red Nine: Hon-E-Kor 15.5, Currie 8.5
We had 3 golfers win all three of their matches, Darrell Frenzel, Rich Saks and new member Gary Wolleman. I believe Gary was playing in his second Currie club event!!!
A good time was had by all and thanks for a great turn out on a great day!!
After 6 years, Hon-E-Kor now leads Currie in this Challenge 4 - 2.
Thanks,
