Currie wins the 2015 Currie / Hon-E-Kor Challenge Match. Currie now leads the series 2 - 1.

8/8 & 8/9 Currie Club Championship: REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING!
Currie Men,
Please know the registration
deadline for the 2015 Currie Club CHAMPIONSHIIP on 8/8 and 8/9 is quickly approaching: REGISTRATION
DEADLINE = 8/3 at 9:00am.
- This is our premier event of the season at our home course!
- This will be a flighted stroke play event
- Championship, A and B flights play from the BLUE tees and are GROSS (no handicaps)
- C flight will play from the WHITE tees and will be NET (handicapped)
- Flights will be put together and made available shortly following the registration deadline
- We offer an optional GROSS skins game but you must pay $10 to enter for both days ($5 for Saturday SKINS and $5 for Sunday SKINS)

Second Team Results for Dretzka Match on 7/25/15
We had an ok day at Dretzka, but it wasn’t
the big one we needed to jump up near the front of the pack. We took 203 points, finishing in 4th for the day.
Dretzka won with 223, Brown Deer was second with 220, and Grant took
third with 210. For the season we are
down in 5th place, 61 points behind Grant, 40 behind Oakwood, 11
behind Brown Deer, and 4 behind Whitnall.
Our big point winners on the day were Gerry McGrath and Tom
Jardanowski with 24 each, Phil Levin with 21, and Steve Jaeger and Steve
Wolter with 19 each. McGrath was medalist for the whole field with
a sparkling 71! Levin had the second
best score in the field with 75, while Jaeger shot 78 and Wolter 80.
Wolter won a hole prize for closest to the pin in 2 on the 6th
hole, and Tom Condella won a skin for a birdie on the 11th.
The days results and a season summary are listed below.
Our last match will be at Whitnall on Sunday, August
30. This match was originally scheduled
for Greenfield, but it was recently switched to Whitnall due to concern that
Greenfield may not be ready in time.
We’ll need a big performance if we’re to get our 7th straight
title, but we’re definitely in striking distance if we get a 250 or more point
kind of effort, and we are definitely overdue for one like that.
