Gentlemen –
We played at Grant Park yesterday to begin our quest to return the championship Team Match trophy to Currie. The greens were a bit slow, but otherwise the course was in fine shape with some tough pin positions. The Currie boys ground our way to a T-2 finish with 124 points, finishing 28 behind Brown Deer’s 152. Grant was tied with us, and Greenfield was in 4th with 116 points.
Our high point men were Jim Sauceda and Pete Tarantino with 16 each, Doug Bowring with 15, Steve Jaeger with 14, Bill Zolandz with 13, and Dave Ullenberg with 12. Mike O’Neil was our medalist with 74. Ullenberg hit 76, Bowring 78, and Jaeger 80. Bowring’s 78 gave him a nice net score of 63. Hopefully, Doug and everyone else remembered to post their scores yesterday. 😊
None of our guys took a skin, but O’Neil won a flag event, long drive on 12.
If you didn’t hear, Team Match Director Patrick Garvins aced the 210-yard 15th on his way to a score of 71. Congrats to Patrick. He used a 3 hybrid, and it was his 4th ace!
The usual summaries are listed below.
Thanks,
Jack
